Day 1. Lake Manyara.
Depart Arusha in the morning for Lake Manyara, arriving in time for lunch time followed by an afternoon game viewing drive. The Park offers diverse ecosystems, spectacular views and implausible birdlife. Its ground water forests, baobab strewn cliffs, bush plains, and algae-streaked hot springs offer unique ecological mixture in a small area. The rare tree climbing lions that make the ancient mahogany and elegant acacias their home during the rainy season, and are a well-known but rather rare feature of the northern park make Lake Manyara national park a must visit. Dinner and overnight at campsite.
Day 2. Ngorongoro crater.
After early breakfast depart for Ngorongoro crater, arriving in time for lunch followed by an afternoon game drive on the floor of the crater. The Ngorongoro Crater is one of Africa’s most famous sites and the world’s largest intact volcanic caldera. Said to have the highest density of wildlife in Africa, Ngorongoro forms a spectacular bowl of about 265 square kilometers, with sides up to 600 meters deep; it is home to approximately 30,000 animals at any one time. The Crater rim is over 2,200 meters high and experiences a unique microclimate. Dinner and overnight at campsite.
Day 3. Tarangire National Park.
After breakfast drive to Tarangire National Park followed by an afternoon game viewing drive after lunch. Notice that this park has some of the highest population density of elephants in Tanzania. Amazingly, Tarangire’s pythons climb trees, as do its lions and leopards, lounging in the branches where the fruit of the sausage tree disguises the twitch of a tail. The park’s sparse vegetation, strewn with baobab and acacia trees, makes it a beautiful and distinctive location to visit. Meals and overnight at a campsite.
Day 4. Arusha.
After breakfast enjoy a morning walking Safari
just at the park border, and then depart for Arusha for your outbound flight or
further arrangements.
